PUZZLE CHALLENGE
Each House Team will have a Mentorship class representing them for this challenge in the gym. Each mentorship will be in their own area of the gym working on puzzles. Here are the details:
- You have ten minutes to work on the puzzles.
- Competition starts at 9:09 and end at 9:19 am. Do not be late, time starts if you are there or not.
- Students will work in groups of 4 to complete a puzzle. Any leftover students will be able to work in a smaller group.
- Once a group is done a puzzle they will need to get approval from an adult (your teacher, Mr. McIlmoyle, or Mrs. Parker) before they move onto the next puzzle.
- Before a new puzzle is given, the completed puzzle and all its pieces must be returned to the correct bag and zipped closed! Without this piece your teacher will NOT give you a new puzzle. Teachers you will need to keep track of the puzzles that have been completed for tallying of points. DO NOT REDO PUZZLES FOR EXTRA POINTS.
- Each completed puzzle is worth 10 points.
- If all 15 puzzles get completed before the 10 minutes you will get 1 bonus point for each second you finish before the 10 minutes.
- The mentorship class with the most points after two days of competing will represent their house in the playoffs. Any ties will be determined by picking a name out of a hat.
- IMPORTANT: Teachers you must ensure all pieces of the puzzles are returned to the correct bag, if there are missing pieces you are essentially hurting your own house because other classes cannot complete the puzzles. Please take care and caution with these puzzle pieces please.
