Cup Stacking Challenge
Rules
-You will need to make 4 even groups of students. Sorry adults, this one is NOT for you.
-Competition times are 9:10-9:13 and from 9:15-9:18. Please don't be late!!!
-The first two groups of students will each have 3 minutes to make the tallest free standing structure using ONLY the 100 solo cups provided.
-The second two groups will observe and plan during round one. Once round one is complete, then the second two groups will build while the first two groups observe.
-You are not allowed to use chairs, benches, or other height enhancing implements to aid you.
-At the end of 3 minutes, you will get 10 points for the number of levels in your structure. Visual examples given below
-After the points have been counted, each group will stack their cups into 4 piles of 25. This will get you an extra 10 points!
You will compete twice over the next few weeks in this competition.
We encourage you to pre-plan with your Mentorship and come up with strategies to increase your chance of success.
